EMERGENCIES – BE PREPARED

As we head into another season, keep in mind that any storm and weather emergency can impact our services. This could be hurricanes, snow storms, severe winds, etc. If roads are impacted or if we all lose power, this can impact pet services.

• ALWAYS make sure we have up to date Emergency People EVERY time you go away
• ALWAYS make sure we have lots of ways to contact YOU while you are away. Make sure to check your emails and voice messages multiple times per day, in case we do have an emergency with your pet or home.
• ALWAYS make sure your Plan A & B are accurate on your online profile, that keys are where they should be for sitters to gain access to your home for pet care. Keys should be easily accessible, not buried under snow, debris, etc.
• ALWAYS make sure keys work easily in doors. It should take sitters 2 seconds to enter a home for pet care
• ALWAYS Repair any door that does not open or shut correctly. Doors should work properly – easy to open and easy to close & lock. We will not be held responsible for any door that does not close easily and opens after we have left.
• ALWAYS check power source if we are to use garage codes, garage doors, etc.

For our Daycare attendees, this may mean that if school is cancelled or delayed, the Animal Center may have a delayed opening or no daycare for that day. Announcements will be done in our Daycare Client group. Generally, we will post this by 6am.

For Boarders needing to drop off or pickup. These times may be delayed or postponed. Only Rachelle or myself can accept a pet into our facility or release a pet from our facility. We will contact you via email for any time changes or you can contact us for information.

For all pet sitting and dog walking, if you will be home, please go online and cancel as soon as possible home. If you are away and we are scheduled to come in, our sitters will arrive as soon as we can when it is safe. We can not have any sitter get into an accident. Please understand and be patient.
