Food Pantry for People & Pets in NH –

Our Food Pantry is available for any New Hampshire resident who may be struggling with food insecurity for themselves or their pets.  We do not want any adult, child or pet to go hungry due to circumstances.  We are a confidential, judgement free space. We know how hard it is to struggle.

We decided to do this because we know how it feels.  On Dec 23, 1986, I, Dori (owner of the Animal Care Center of NH & Professional Pet Sitting Etc) was a single parent with a 4 month old child, 2 dogs and 4 kitties.  We lost everything in a fire(all people and pets survived).  We were homeless for 6 months and not sure where our next meal would be.  It is one of the hardest things I have ever been through and hope that we can lessen the burden for some people.

LOBBY Open For Pantry – 830 am to 930 am, Monday – Friday

(Lobby NOT OPEN Holidays or weekends, Lobby will closed for Christmas – Dec 24 – Jan 3)

  • Closed Dec 24 – Jan 4, 2026 for Christmas and New Year Holiday Vacation

• SCHOOL DELAYS OR CLOSINGS – if school is delayed or closed due to weather, the lobby will be closed as well.

HELP US HELP OTHERS – DONATIONS NEEDED

We will accept donations to help with the Food Pantry for People and Pets, all food donations must not be expired or opened.

Donations can left –

• Monday – Friday anytime 830-330.  These times are after our busy drop off times and before our busy pick ups
• DOORS MIGHT BE LOCKED – This is ALSO our time to be in dogs groups and the doors may be locked, you can leave items by our front door.  We will be alerted by our cameras and come up when we can to bring items in.
• Do not drop off when our Lobby is closed on holidays, weekends, vacations.  Check Dates above in Open Section.
• BEST Time would be 830am for drop off to a person in our lobby before we go into group

Needed For People Pantry

• Shelf Stable foods such as rice, pasta, lentils, beans, powdered milk, etc
• Canned Goods such as vegetables, soups, fruit, gravy, etc
• We can accept limited fresh items, such as breads, fresh vegetables

Needed For Pet Pantry

• Canned food and dry food for CATS – any brand
• Kitten Chow
• Canned food and dry food for DOGS
• Treats for dogs and cats

FREE Little Library – Can take books for library, everyone is free to use this

Note –

• Very Easy to donate items, just click on item, add to your cart and it will be shipped directly to us!
• I made the list of items that I thought people may need or want, you can add items that you wish to donate that are not on the list
• Cat items are marked priority as cat items tend to be overlooked and there are more cat owners
• ALSO if items are in BULK, we will open and place items singly, so one person does not get 12 boxes of Mac and cheese for example.
• Amazon has our address, however, if a third party asks for our address  – 257 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH 03054
• Please instruct delivery to be left at doors if doors are locked, we will be alerted by our cameras and will get items soon. Let us know when a delivery may be coming.  Avoid weekend/holiday or closed days for deliveries.
