What are the Benefits of Overnight Pet Care?
Author, Noelle Dunn, for Professional Pet Sitting Etc.
Finding the perfect place for your pet’s care when you have to go out of town is a very stressful thing for many pet owners. Quite often people postpone trips and time away from home for the sheer fact they don’t want their pet to suffer or be uncomfortable. These days your options are unlimited, when it comes to pet care. While there are many options there is one that can’t be beat. In home, overnight pet care is the best. Here are a few of the reasons why you need to consider overnight pet sitting as an alternative to other care services such as kennels or group boarding facilities.
– Routines won’t change. Most pets love their routine. It’s comfortable and a known. Mealtime, playtime and walks. Hugs and love to boot. Sticking to these schedules makes your pet feel comfortable. Your being away from them is stressor enough. Deviate from a routine and it can stress your pet even more.
– Home Sweet Home. Your pet would much prefer being home in their environment. Sights, sounds and smells of home keep the pets feeling secure. Your pet can sleep in their own bed, play with their own toys and pitter patter around without the nuisance of being locked up in a room full of cages with other animals. Taking your pet elsewhere for care while you’re away can further stress them which can lead to stress related illnesses.
– Security – For your pet as well as your home. Seeking out home care for your pet is an excellent security system. Keep your home and your pet safe with someone staying there over night, someone will to turn on lights, make a presence known and keep your pooch company. It keeps your pet safe from danger and prevents possible vandalism and break-ins while you’re away because your home doesn’t look vacant. Not only that, if a pipe bursts or some other at home problem occurs, your pet sitter can notify someone of the matter, possibly saving you thousands of dollars.
– Illness. As mentioned earlier being separated from your pet can stress them out. Stress can lead to illness. Additionally taking your pet to stay at a daycare/kennel, where many other dogs are and their stress levels rise, they can catch colds or illnesses spread by other dogs. Diseases can be spread in kennel environments. It’s not worth the risk.
Avoid the stress for you and your pet, and Leave knowing your pet will be home, safe and sound. Look for a Professional Pet Care Provider. Research a few businesses before you make a decision.
